Adebukola Oyelahan is the Creative Director/Owner of Purple Damsel. She is a Certified International Makeup Professional, Facial Therapist, Certified Associate in Project Management, Ex-Banker, Beauty Entrepreneur, wife, mother amongst others. The Food Technologist turned Beauty Coach believes ‘knowing WHAT to do and HOW to do it, is a confidence booster’, which makes her passionate about assisting individuals build/maintain that confidence that is often lost through careless negligence. Good administrative and presentation skills are her forte; she also has established leadership persona and hands-on experience in responsive customer relations.

In 2007, she joined the Alliance of Change Empowerment Speakers (ACES Nigeria) and shortly after, became the team lead of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit. In 2009, her CSR unit organized an event in Satellite town, Lagos; with the aim of making youths realize their worth, build successful relationships and develop self-esteem. Adebukola is a trained public speaker from the Speakers’ Empowerment Academy, Lagos and listed on Nigeria’s Speakers’ Directory.  In 2010, she was a speaker on ‘Avenues’, a 30mins magazine programme on MITV, she was also featured in the Life Magazine section of the Guardian Newspaper in February 2013.

Adebukola has been able to grow Damsel Makeovers from scratch/working from home in 2010  to a limited corporation as Purple Damsel in 2017. She facilitated a maiden edition of ‘The Confident Woman’ series in 2016 which is one of Purple Damsel’s CSR initiatives and was able to inspire other women to be the best of themselves in other areas of life. The Confident Woman Initiative has succesfully hosted 3 major programmes since inception, with 4 collaborations that involved teenagers and some youths in Bonny Island.

Adebukola was also a guest speaker during the Nigeria LNG Ladies’ Association Coffee morning in 2010 and their International Women’s Day celebration in 2017. She was invited to speak to a group of women in 2017 during one of their hangouts hosted by the Mums In Business Club and a guest facilitator for the WomenAware Group, also aimed at women being the best of themselves in all facets of life. She launched her skin care line made from organic products in March 2017 and opened her flagship beauty store in October 2017.

Adebukola is a member of WIMBIZ, and also the owner of Chin-Chops (Food & Confectionery), a registered Food & Confectionery outfit providing healthy finger foods and snacks with good kitchen practice. Besides her first degree in Food Technology, she is currently studying Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Roehampton.
